Build, Own & Operate?
The Build–Own–Operate (BOO) model gives industrial and commercial clients purpose-built utility infrastructure — steam, heat, chilled water, solar power, and treated water — with zero upfront capital expenditure. Projects are structured under long-term contractual arrangements with single-point responsibility: Lean Energy develops, builds, finances, owns, and operates the on-site facility, with all capital investment provided by Lean Energy. Clients gain continuity, performance certainty, and long-term value while focusing on their core business.

A single long-term contract covers everything — installation, daily operations, compliance, waste removal, and billing. Nothing is left to you.

Full Turnkey Delivery
Lean Energy Solutions will purchase, install, commission, and operate the biomass-fired boiler — end to end, at zero capital cost to you.

15-Year Contract, Renewable
The agreement runs for an initial period of 15 years and is renewable by mutual consent. Long-term certainty for your energy planning.

Annual Inspection & Certification
We carry out the annual boiler inspection and flue-gas analysis, and provide all resulting compliance certificates. Your regulatory burden: zero.

Dedicated Operations Crew
Our trained boiler operators are on-site daily for firing and operation of the boiler — shift-covered, fully managed by Lean Energy.

Waste & By-Product Disposal
We take full responsibility for disposal of solid wastes and combustion by-products — ash, clinker, and residue — in line with NEMA guidelines.

KES 7.20 / kg Steam + VAT
Steam is billed at KES 7.20 per kg + VAT, with a 5% annual price escalation to track inflation. No hidden fees — one line item, one invoice.

Projected Savings
Based on the attached analysis, YEMKEN INDUSTRY AND TRADE CO. LTD is estimated to save KES 324,320 per month — KES 3,891,840 per year — on boiler operating costs.

Commitment Fee
The client shall pay a commitment fee of KES 1,000,000 + VAT upon signing of the contract.

Site Preparation
The client shall prepare the site, including a covered and secure shed for the boiler and fuel storage, prior to commissioning.

Equipment Ownership & Renewal
The agromass-fired boiler and all accessories remain the property of Lean Energy Solutions at end of contract. A buyout option is available at a price mutually agreed upon. Lean Energy will make every effort to renew the contract on a win-win basis for both parties.
